Mozilla, our Silver Sponsor

We are very happy to announce that Mozilla will be supporting GNOME.Asia Summit 2011 edition and has taken the silver level sponsorship this year. Mozilla already supported us in 2008 at the same level, so it’s a real pleasure to have them back. We’re now in discussion to help setting up a Firefox workshop and a Mozilla booth based on available skills and resources. If you’re very familiar with Firefox development, or a passionate user and happen to be in Bangalore during the event please get in touch with us on the GNOME.Asia mailing list. Thank you very much Mozilla!

On the promotion side of things, Linux Pilot has joined the ranks of our media partners and will be helping us to promote our Hackfest and Summit in their magazine and online platform. Thank you to Linux Pilot for their support!

We have also made some nice badges to promote the conference and encourage visitors to pre-register, and will soon make some “I’ll be attending” badges available. Please help us to advertise for the event by placing any of the badges on your blog or website. Thank you!

Oracle, our Gold Sponsor

We are very happy to announce that Oracle / Sun is supporting GNOME.Asia Summit one more time and has taken the gold level sponsorship this year. In fact since GNOME.Asia inception in 2008, Sun and then Oracle have been following us everywhere we went in Asia providing funding and speakers! It also means we will be able to meet again with our great GNOME friends from Oracle and be able to host a face to face GNOME.Asia committee meeting as two members of our team are from Oracle! Thank you very much Oracle!

As a side note, we just started to accept lightning talks. If you are interested to give one, please register in the page, it would be nice if you can help us to spread the word as well!

Google, our Centurion Sponsor

We are very happy to announce that Google is supporting GNOME.Asia Summit one more time and has taken the Centurion level sponsorship. In fact since GNOME.Asia inception in 2008, we have had a few companies backing up the event and Google is one of them. We’re of course very pleased to have them as a sponsor again in 2011 and take it that we must be doing something good. Thank you Google!

As a side note, we would also like to kindly remind everybody especially  participants of the GNOME 3.0 Bangalore hackfest that we’d love to hear about what you’ve been working on during the conference so we can all be inspired and receive in-depth coverage of your field of expertise. The deadline of call for papers is tomorrow (Feb 18). If you haven’t added your talks yet, submit one today!
